About Us

In 1983 Steve first ventured into a dental lab. Green, but ambitious, Steve worked for roughly 10 years in a couple of different locations scattered around the city of Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. As time passed Steve's family started to grow, and in 1993 moved to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. That same year Contour Dental was opened, and started producing its first work in the form of gold and porcelain. Since then Steve has continued to learn, educate, and grow himself. He has attended and completed 4 different courses at the Kois Centre, 2 different courses at the Las Vegas Institute, as well as, the Dawson Centre amongst many others. He served as a ceramic consultant for Jensen Dental for 7 years, as well as, attended various study clubs. Contour Dental is family run, and family owned. In 2013 Steve's oldest son Kevan joined the lab full time. It has been a father son duo ever since. In 2016 the family picked up everything and moved to the beautiful city of Victoria. Since the big move, Contour has continued to strive for quality work and above all, excellent service. With two solid generations of dental lab knowledge and a third on the way, Contour Dental is here to provide beautiful dental work and unrivaled support to the dental community.
